What a week...

Sorry about the random rambles... but sometimes is feels good to write about our daily to do's especially this week... One I won't foget!

Monday---- The Doctor was concerned with Stella not gaining much and a heal prick they did came back not good.. I was told to get Stella up to the hospital for a blood draw. No big deal so I thought... It was a very sad day! I was told they were going to have to take blood from her arm and if she made any movement they would have to do it again, I was thinking not fair your asking a 1 yr old to hold still?!?!? I was very emotional and called Dale VERY upset, he tried calming me down and said that it would work he was actually delivering in the hospital and to give him 15 minutes and he would be up there. He held Stella down, she did so good and got a sucker after ward. She was a trooper. I was sooo grateful for Dale being there.... get a call back a couple days later saying everything tested out fine with Stella and she is good thanks goodness!!

Tuesday--- A very LONG day at work... go to pick Stella up at Burnett's and she had been throwing up...don't know if food she ate, dehydrated or getting a stomach bug.. BLAH! She acted fine when we were home and was playing and then we went to dinner with some friends that were moving to TEXAs and we sat down to eat and she threw up. I felt so bad for her.

Wednesday--On my way home from a Relief Society Activity. I called Dale to tell him I was on my way... he seemed a little different on the phone. I asked if everything was ok and he said "yes", I didn't believe him but whatever I was close to being home... let him know I'd talk with him about it when I got home. I walked in the door and he said "So, Stella must have swallowed a penny." I was a little defensive and said there is no way.... he said take a look for yourself, (lucky me) he had kept the diaper so I could see it... sure enough A PENNY! It was a good laugh for a little bit. Dale has been calling Stella his little penny bank. I am just grateful it came out and we didn't have to do something more serious!

Thursday--- Go to pick Dale up from work and notice he is limping. Ask what's wrong he says he is fine just got stung by a bee on Tuesday and noticed his ankle is a little sore.... no big deal. We get home start dinner and he walks out and I notice is ankle is HUGE, and very purple color!! I call our family doctor and they say to get him to Instacare cause they were closed...We stop everything call my mom to take Stella and take him to instacare. Told he has an infection from the bee sting and put on antibotics.

Friday---My mom, bryce, Rachael and I make a yummy homade pizza that is delicious! Clean the house, do a little grocery shopping. I wake up in the early hours of the morning feeling very qweezy...

Saturday--- Mom calls and asks if I'm sick I say I don't feel the best and she said that her, Rachael and Bryce are very sick!!!...... Foood POisoning!

I was talking to Dale about how the weeks have been so uneventful... man, did I jinks my self. This week as been so much better and we are healthy and back to our uneventful selves and I'm ok with that :)

BEE's

Tawni and I have been talking about taking the hubby's and kiddo's to dinner and a Bee's game in Salt Lake. It was a fun and entertaining... It was perfect overcast weather for the first little bit and then it started raining off and on. We got the kids dots and ourselves a yummy treat. We ended up going and sitting the bleachers cause of the down poor, but we still had a lot of fun there was even a fireworks show afterward!

Stella wasn't to sure about the announcer she would scream and start to shake every time he would come over the intercom, but the DOTs seemed to help calm her down.

Ducks..

1yr BiRthDay...

CraZy to think this little munchkin is already 1!!

To celebrate we had Burnett's and Ellis' come over for dinner. We had a fish theme for Stella's BIG day! We did kabobs, blue jello with swedish fish in little cups, and fruit inside the sharks mouth of the watermelon...so cute! We also did cake & ice cream and a pinata.

This is what the treat table looked like:

I was so happy with the way everything turned out.. I was SUPER excited
with the cupcakes!!

I really wanted to do a pinata for the grand kids. I was being very picky about wanting a fish one.. we looked all over the valley, internet( i wasn't going to pay 32 dollars) so my mom thought we would be cafty and make one ourselves... I think we may have made it too good though it took forever to break through the cardboard.

The birthday girl taking a swing with dad's help.

We started to sing to her and she started clapping

Stella was NOT a fan of getting herself messy. She was ok at first and then started screaming! We got a spoon to see if that would help.. NOPE not really! We were also able to web chat with Kate.. that was fun to have her be apart of Stella's BIG day!

The guys..

Dale's buddy Kevin was in town for the 4th of July holiday. We thought it would be fun to get the friends (along with their families) together to have a BBQ and catch up...Kevin's parents had a cotton candy machine and a blow up jumping toy for the kids.. it was great!! It kept the kids very entertained and let the parents be able to catch up.

relay for life

This year, my friend Stephanie talked my mom and I into doing a team for relay for life. I thought this would be a great opportunity to do some service. My mom has talked a lot about wanting to do it and so we made it happen... we were hoping to get my aunt's involved but it didn't work out. We ended up with a very small group but were very determined to do it! Our team name was the Pink Ladies. I wanted to make our camp very fun and PINK. We had pink balloons, flowers, pink sign...and more ( I didn't get any pictures.) Friday morning we headed out to the Blue Socks Diamond, in Smithfield. We set up camp, had opening ceremonies and then we started our adventure for the next 24 hrs. Each team is asked to have someone from their team on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps.

Stella was such a trooper! She even walked little of a lap with us!

Someone had a photo booth to help raise money. We walked past it a couple times I finally got Dale join Rachael and I. Doesn't he look awesome with pink hair?!?!

Jared& Stephanie did a little train ride for their fundraiser.. such a cute idea. The Latimer kids and Stella took a ride. Ali was a big help to Stella.

We did so great! We all walked laps together for the first while and then started taking turns. Toward the evening time was when I starting feeling really tired... I was glad to have Dale show up and give me an extra boost and bring us some food. Alyse showed up a little later in the night to help us out.. it was a blast being with the sisters ( minus Kat...miss you) they had music playing most of the night which helped out. We even tried running a couple times.. I seemed to get my extra burst of energy from 10 til about 2 and then I crashed.. I fell asleep for a couple hours and then started back up again at 6:oo am. At the end as a team we probably walked about 83 miles.. we were very tired, and had maybe got a little to much sun but you couldn't help forgetting yourself and thinking of the people that had been effected by cancer...and I really couldn't stop thinking of my Grandma Ward and what a fighter she was.

My grandma was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in August 2004. It had spread through a lot of her body, skull, bones and liver. I admire my grandma so much, through it all she would laugh and had a constant smile on her face. She kept a gratitude journal. She was so grateful for the small things...even if it was getting out of bed for the day.

She died April of 2005. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her. We had the opportunity to have her live with us a couple days a week when she worked in the Logan Temple...I loved late night talks about the boys I was dating. Friday's I didn't work or have school so, I would do "shopping day" with her... I looked forward to this day sooo much!! We loved to tease her about the romance novels she read ALL the time (the best part is she felt like she needed to hide them cause they were bad... and not for kids), I will always remember her laugh it was so contagious. She was a great grammy and I miss her soooo much!

Toward closing ceremonies everyone who purchased a balloon gathered on the field
and let them go...

4th of July

We had our families come to our house for BBQ and some fireworks. Rachael wanted to bring dessert look this was so cute and tasted YUMMy!

Dale purchased these fireworks in Wyoming the year before we got married... The boys wanted to do a firework show so we thought we'd pull them out. They were so crazy!! I got a little nervous.. I could see how a firework could do some serious damage.

Stella getting ready for the firework show.

I love it!

Our croquette game.
