Looks LIKE we Are HAVING......

We both are very excited to find out that our newest edition to the BURnett home is going to be A Girl! We were able to plan it just right with the Dr. and do an earlier apt so, that Dale could be there to find out. Technology is amazing these days... we got to see it all.. her hands, feet and little face. Dale was so excited through the whole thing I think we were just both in such aww... to know that she is growing inside me!

Something kinda fun that happend is while in the ultrasound she wouldn't quit moving but when he was trying to get a picture of her face she kept hidding it. THen the tech was like so, "How many kids do you have?" "We told him this is our first"..... I think she heard that and she raised her arm up and put her pointer finger up like the number one. I started to freak out and we were just in aww we all had a good laugh about it! The Tech made us a little video of the ultrasound visit and we have it on DVD.

Dale, had to go to work after that and we were just going to call and tell our families but then Dale decided he wanted to tell our parents first and in person to see there reaction which ment that I had to go the whole day (on my day off) in hiding. I was getting all these texts from family, and friends asking and I was dying. I kept having my family call me all day and I finally had to call my mom and tell her that we would be coming over after Dale was done with work to tell. I felt like we were waiting the whole day that I needed to do something kinda big because we had left everyone in suspence. So, I went to Jo-ANNs and bought shirts, and iron ons and made some shirts....

We wore these to tell our parents. Kinda cheesy! But they were a lot of fun making and gave me something to do for the day!

TawNi's Baby ShoWer

SHower for BABy ATHEN!!! The neighbor ladies got together and threw a shower for Tawni. We had a lot of fun, played a couple baby games, ate food and did what us ladies do best and visited!! Thanks for everyone who came and thanks Stephanie for your help.... I have to be honest and say that it made me very excited to have a shower of my own... and get baby here!

All the fun things she got for BABY ATHEN.

GOOD LUCK Ryan and Tawni !!

WeekEnd Get aWay!

A couple weekends ago Dr Skinner had taken off some time to go and visit his parents in England and I decided that I would take advantage of it and spent some quality time with my Grandparents in Idaho Falls. It had been a long while since I had seen them and was great to catch up. I look up to these two amazing people very much. They are great examples and I'm glad to have them in my life.

While I was up there, they had just started some major spring cleaning along with painting. My grandma got bored of white walls. So, My grandpa went to work painting and my grandma went to work washing down things and organizing as well. Maybe I could get them to come and do my house!

GREAT work Grandpa! LOOks gReaT!!

I really wanted to find a cool old school name for our baby and I asked my grandma if I could look at some pedigree charts/ family history stuff and get some idea's..... BOy, I was in for a treat. She is a very organized lady and had binders, folders and filing cabinets of them along with a written history on each of them! We spent 1/2 day going through and talking about each person. They have both really done their studying up on this.. THANKS! I learned a lot....I think it even got me a little excited to do it on my own.

These binders are of my aunts, dad and uncle, grandparents, great grandparents and great great grandparents!.......

and MOrE!

We also went to a fireside (I didn't bring any church stuff and Grandma had offered that I could wear something of hers but I really didn't want to.) So, we did a little shopping at Target. I found me and outfit. We also did some curtain shopping and we went to breakfast one morning, and to keep with tradition WE played lots of games. We always seem to get some good laughs out of the games. I had a really good time thanks again.

I also went and visited Dale's sister, husband and their kids. It was fun to see them and catch up on life and what they were busy doing, and seeing their beautiful home. Thanks for letting me come and visit you guys!

Valentines 2010

We spent this Valentines with our friends Ryan and Tawni. We went up to their cabin in Bear Lake, watched movies, played games, ate pizza, and made a great breakfast!! We had a really good time it always feels good to get away and just be lazy the whole weekend. I think we need those once and awhile. Thanks guys for the invite!! Dale and I had decided that this year we would just keep things simple with the baby coming. So, we decided no gifts but in the back or our minds we both knew that we still be getting something for the other person and so, we ended up doing a little something for one another....

I got Dale a game for the Wii (Madden Football) and a jar full of Reeses hearts with reasons why I loved him.

I was given a box of chocolates, a date night and a pass to go and get a massage!
My mom gave us this book for Valentines with V-day card and candy..... It is the cutest book... Thanks MOM for your gift.
