We finally did IT!!...

After months of toying with the idea of getting rid of cable...We finally did it! At first, I think Dale and I were having with drawls from no T.V. and then noticed it wasn't with drawls it was the realization about how much we watched T.V. and how much time we just let pass by! It has really made us put on our creative caps and be more creative in what we do in the evenings. We've been playing a ton more games, looking on KSL (dreaming of trucks and 4-wheelers), puzzles & starting to read more...especially Dale. I have never seen Dale read something other than the scriptures. So, it has been cool to see him get more into it...

Stella & Dad...

Dale has had a couple days off.... within the last couple weeks and It just happens to be on the day that I go to work. So, Stella has been able to be with Dad all day and spend some great bonding time! I love calling home while I'm on my lunch break... hearing Stella in the background giggling, talking babble talk and to hear very little crying.... Dale does such an amazing job and they really do have so much fun together. I think it also makes them (the dad's) really realize all that goes into a days work at home and they appericate you more. Dale is always saying I don't know how you women do it! I guess it's the womens gift :-)

Stella wearing Dad's hat

I came home and I found them asleep in Stella's room.

Still loving this little game....except now she wants to push the laudry basket around the house.

Easter

Happy Easter! Here is just a little of what our Easter Sunday was like....

The Easter Bunny found Stella this year. He made a trail with Stella's eggs to her basket.

Stella's first Easter!

Grandma & Grandpa Burnett always do a BIG easter egg hunt around their yard. The kids have so much fun finding them.. Here is most of the grandkido's.

It was so cute Bryce & Bryant had the idea to fill Stella's eggs with craisins, raisins, yogart melts and little favored puffs.

Vegas

Dale and I took a vacation to Vegas for a couple days! It was GREAT to spend some time with my honey! Sometimes, I feel like I get so caught up in my daily routine that he gets put on the back burner... So, it was a well needed get away for us both!

We flew to Vegas, but before leaving Salt Lake we took the shuttle to the airport. While on the bus there was a little boy that looked Stella's age and .... I lost it! I couldn't stop crying! People were looking at my kinda funny, but I was glad I was crying.... It meant that I was really going to miss the babe!... The plane ride to Vegas was very windy. We sat in our seats for a good 45 minutes before take off and the whole ride to Vegas was VERY bumpy. I got very motion sick and thought I was going to loose my cookies a couple times. Needless to say I was very glad when we arrived!

We went to a couple shows, walked the strip, went shopping, laid out in the sun...perfect temperature 80's, and had a lot of fun just hanging out and relaxing!

Went to a magic show..

Watched people loose a lot of money! Blue Man group was AWESOME!

Thanks Dale for a wonderful time! I love YOu!

Easter Fun!

I decided that I wanted to have a couple friends over and do a Easter Party! I realize that Stella is way to young for a party but I love to celebrate the holidays...especially Easter! Now, that I have a kid it gives me an even BIGGER excuse to be able to do something! I had so much fun.

We played Easter Bingo, went on a Scavenger Hunt (inside because of the weather) and made a yummy birds nest treat. I was melting the marshmallows in the microwave.... totally forgot and I hear Nicki shout" CAMBRIA".... I look and the marshmallows exploded! I was a very sticky mess, but we got a great laugh out of it.

Thanks guys for making our Easter adventure a success! Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend.

9 months...

Stella has found her tongue.
Stella's Stats...

12% for her height......................16lbs 40z

90% for her height.................28 3/4 inches

50% for her head.

This little one is a super busy body! oh my goodness. I feel like she is going 100 mph and gets into everything! She is crawling even faster and I feel like she constantly finding things in the carpet and eating it... I have to vacuum everyday! She is pulling herself up to things on a regular basis and will let go for a second and then fall. She is getting more bumps and bruises! I have been finding myself telling her "NO"....way to much! I am trying to find another word but it doesn't seem to be happening or helping.... but then again saying NO doesn't really do anything either:-). She is working on 4 new teeth, Stella doesn't hold still at all and has made changing her diaper a new 2 person job! It's quite hilarious to watch Dale and I. She is so wiggly! Stella shows no interest in baby food anymore... but will have to continue eating it until she has none left cause I bought 2 boxes from SAM'S. She loves the sippy and I'm trying to give her milk in the sippy at least 2x times a day. Stella still doesn't like to nap we are luckily if she takes a 45 min in the day. She has become very clingy since she has been sick and will not go to an unfamiliar face anymore and always has to have me in sight... I hoping because she is still not 100% back to health. This week she has started saying "MA--MA". (YEAH!). She has found her tongue and love to spit bubbles. I feel like she does it to me a lot when I tell her no or not to do something. She has the most contagious little giggle and is always happy.

She loves her binki and blanket way to much!! The other day she was sitting in the highchair screaming I was trying to figure out what was wrong and she kept putting her arms out I thought she wanted to be picked up and that made her even more mad! She saw her blanket on the kitchen table and was reaching for it, I finally caught on and with in seconds of giving it to her she stopped...really this young is what I keep thinking?!?!

Stella loves the piano.... She will pound on the keys and then act like she is turing the page... Stick'n cute!

The other day, Bryce was eating a banana and Stella thought she needed one too. She will bite right into anything.

She had her first piece of licorice. She loved it!

cupcakes..

So, lately I've had an interest in cupcake decorating.. I saw this magazine at work and it had the most creative cupcakes ideas. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it or cupcakes! Luckily, the Young Women have been wanting to decorate cupcakes and I thought since Easter is around the corner that we would make Easter bunny cupcakes. The night ended up being soo fun! We took round cupcakes to the members of the bishopric and then Stake Presidency. I've have really enjoyed being in the Young Women's. Each of these girls brings different personality to the Beehives but yet we can all laugh and have a good time! I am grateful for these grils and the many things that they have taught me!

Spring Break re-cap..

It has been a great to have a week off from work... Here is a little recap of what we did. I took Stella back into the Dr's on Monday. I just felt like she was starting ALL over again with whatever she had before and it's been 3 1/2 weeks... I was glad to hear that something was wrong but not for Stella's sake. She has double ear infection, sinus infection, and getting 4 new teeth!

*Stella got to go hang out with with grandma and grandpa Burnett. I'm so grateful to have family close and to have Stella get to know her grandparents.

*Went down to Layton with some friends.... I think I found my new favorite store.. BOHME boutique. LOVE IT!

*I took my car in for a funny noise and ended up getting 4 new tires, new rotars and something is to do with the motor mounts and axles... Blah to cars!

*Went and played with the Burnett cousins. We ate a yummy lunch taco soup on a snowy day..DeLICOUS! I had my niece and nephews be my ginny pigs for an Easter craft I'm doing for a neighborhood Easter party.

*Dale had the weekend off. We had planned to go down to the Hogal Zoo and Park City.... that didn't happen thanks to the awesome weather!....Instead we had a movie marathon Hunting Movies....intense bear hunting and did a little shopping around town. Went bowling had sister and bro in law's over for taco soup again (I cannot get enough of it!) with homade bread sticks.
Our little bowler.

The bowling crew!

While we were waiting for a lane we played a little Pool and Air Hockey...

This is how the 2 lovebirds met... playing pool!

Dale and I played a little air hockey.. I lost but it was fun!

I had a lot of fun this week! It will be hard to get back in routine. I was great to have Dale home for the weekend and be able to hang out with my lil family.

Conference..

I love Conference sooo much! It is a great pick-me up for the next 6 months. It's something that I really look forward too...especially as a new mom!! I really really enjoyed it. I am always looking for ways to be spiritually fed and any advise I may get on how to raise and help our little Stella in this crazy world. It scares me to bits, but I loved what Lynn Robbins said in his talk...." May your effort to develop Christlike attributes be successful so that his image may be ingraven in your countenance and his attributes manifest in your behavior. Then, when your children or others feel of your love and see your behavior. it will remind them of the Savior and draw then to him." I really enjoyed Elder Richard G Scott talk about marriage. I love what he said...."The temple sealing has greater meaning as life unfolds. It will help you draw even closer together and find greater joy and fulfilment." This is sooo true! I love Dale so much. He is such a grate helpmate and is always looking for ways to make me laugh even if I'm not in the mood, I love how he can always be so positive and helps me try and look at the postive of this as well. I love his love for the gospel and love watching him be a dad!

I just had to throw this picture in.. I feel like this is what Dale and I constantly do now days! We find ourselves LAUGHING all the time... it amazes me what a little giggle can do to brighten someones day!

I also really enjoyed Elder Eyrings talk on service. I have always really enjoyed service and it is something we grew up in our home doing ALOT and so grateful to my parents is teaching us it! I love the feeling of helping someone out and in the end I think I benefited the most from doing the serivce it always makes me soooo happy!!!

I cannot wait for the Ensign to come out so I can read threw them again and again! I LOVE the gospel!

Sunshine

Thanks you Mr. Sunshine for showing your face yesterday... The weather was amazing!! Stella and I enjoyed most of the day outside. We had so much fun! I loved how content she was to just sit on the blanket and play. (She wasn't a fun of the grass.)It was so fun to see all the kids outside riding their bikes and playing with sidewalk chalk. Stella and I were having a little picnic with some snacks when our little neighbor girl Ali came over and started to play with Stella. Stella loves friends, (I think she gets bored of mom playing with her and loves to have the company.)

Ali was a good little helper and so cute with Stella.

A little while later we had more little friends come over..... We had crackers and visted it was our own little party! (A neighbor came out and was joking around saying it looked like we were having a tea party! ) Later the mom's came over.. we ended up talking and planning fun things to do over the warm weather! I'm so grateful to live in an awesome neighborhood with great families!! I was glad that I got to know the kido's I'm glad that Stella has a good group of girls to look up to.

Stella and Brooke with the princess dolls.

I also got my first sun burn! It is so bad I didn't even think of putting sunscreen on Stella or I ( BAD MOM). Stella didn't get much but I am fried! Here Dale and I were afraid of what kinda skin Stella was going to have because she is a little more fair but NOpe I think I have more fair skin then her!
