Just Hangin' out

Dale has been a little under the weather this week... He has a serious head cold. He gets really wiped out after work and doesn't really feel like doing much. (as would anyone when they are sick) So, I thought since this week the movie The Proposal came out that I would surprise Dale with it and we would just have a low key night. YAHoo! We made us some delicious treats and watched the movie. I love nights like this... me and my Babe....minus Dale being sick.

The Ladies and I decided that at lunch this week that we would go and get the H1N1 nose mist. I was very nervous to get it done, I didn't know what I thought about someone putting something up my nose and having liquid shot up there....... I worried for nothing. IT was EASY! I just really hope that it works I cannot get sick nor do I want too. Between my husband and our sick patients( that still come in when they are contagious)... Let's hope it works.

First time use of the fire pit.

My family came out the other night for F.H.E. We decided that we would break in the fire pit. It was so fun.... I don't know why we hadn't done it do it sooner. Thanks for the idea family!

Dad and Dale were able to get a great fire going.

The boys and mom sitting by the fire.

We decided that when winter time comes we will be having a snow football game and have the fire going to get and keep us warm. Great Idea boys!

Dale, Cames, Dad and Mom.

Roasting hot dogs.

Dale and I are very grateful that we did the fire pit I think it just made a little more excited to get the yard done.

HalloWeen Party with the Neighborhood

Every year a few couples in the neighborhood put on a Halloween Party for the adults. Thanks Case's and Souter's for one of the funniest and best party I think I've been to.

Each couple needed to bring 2-5$ gifts. I decided to get a couple gift cards to Coldstone and Spoon Me! I wanted to make them cute so I wrapped them up in this cute paper and ribbon. (I got from my stamp'n Up group.)

Before you went into the house Sara and Jen would take your picture.

Lars and Nicki Latimer.

Cave Man and Cave Women!!

They had a dinner taco salad. After dinner we played a couple games. They were ALL very fun. My favorites would have to be the way we did the 5$ gift exchange (it was very complex so I don't think that I can explain it on writting), the rolo game and the pudding game. The pudding game, they took gummy body parts with vanilla pudding and you had to without using you hands find the gummies in the pudding pass somehow into your partners mouth and chew them until gone. They were hard from being cold with the pudding. So, it was very difficult to chew them up. The first person to do this would be the winner!!! People were having a very hard time.... It was hard not to gag because you had so much in your mouth.

Getting ready to start the 1st round.

Ryan and Tawni.

Chalet and Cody.

Starting the 2nd round.

The Sara and Clayton.

Peter and Amy are the Champs!!!

Dale and I.

I think we will all have red pudding up our noses for awhile.

There was a third round... There was only 2 couples doing it they wanted a few more couples to do it with them. I convinced Amy and Peter to do it again. I really wanted to do it again, we were so close the last time that I new we could win. The girls at the table all wanted to be the eaters. I was ready. We WON!!!! I don't really think that I would chew them they were small pieces. It was more like a few chews (they still were large pieces) and then swollow.... My belly wasn't feeling so good after that. Always chew your food!!

Conference Weekend

I thought that I would start the weekend off right by trying to make some salsa. I was given some green peppers at Young Women's and was also given some tomatoes, I thought rather than waste them I would attempt to try and make some salsa. It was quite the process...... with a smelly house and a couple hours later I was able to have fresh homemade salsa. I was able to get 12 pints out of the batch. I don't think that Dale or I were very excited about the new smell that we would have to live with for the next couple days. Oh well, we had salsa. That is my favorite snack chips and some salsa. So, it was worth it!! The next day, my neighbor Nicki and I got together and made strawberry home made jam. I wish that I would have tried this a lot sooner. I was able to made 8 bottles of freezer jam. The best part is that it is super fast and easy.... My style of cooking. Thanks Nicki for introducing me to yummy home made strawberry jam!!!!!

My salsa.

In between Saturday session of Conference, my little brothers kept talking about how they really wanted to go to Renegade Sports and ride the go carts again. (My dad had taken them the day before but they wanted to do it with the sisters) My grandparents came down from Idaho Falls to spend sometime with us on Saturday. It was really fun! It had been awhile since I had seen them so, it was great to catch up.

My Grandma and Alyse.

Here is a few pictures of the Family on go carts.

We are getting ourselves all buckled up, ready for a rock'n good time!

My Grandpa Ellis is the best sport. We were able to talk him in to doing the go carts. I don't think that it would have been the same if he didn't do it with us!! Thanks.

I don't think that my Dad enjoys either. (NOT) The grin on his face is priceless. Maybe we should look at making one of these in the back yard.

READY, SET, GO!!!!

A race between my Dad and I.

I think that my Dad won!

Afterward my Grandma made this new goal of needing to walk 1 hour a day. She hadn't got her hour in yet. So across the highway there was the Logan River nature path. We went and walked on that for a bit. It started to get a little cold so, we turned back.

Alyse and I having some fun.

We thought we would make this picture look like my grandpa was holding up the branch with the boys hanging from it. Well... I don't think it really turned out how we had hoped.

I love my grandparents so much.

The boys went to Priesthood session and we had a girls night. We made a great dinner. After dinner we playing the games. IT was a very good time, there where LOTS of laughs!!!

My grandma is the champ and the game called GOLF. It is so fun playing it with her. We can start laughing at nothing and then we cannot stop. She has the cutiest laugh.

Later on my mom made some yummy brownies and topped it off with ice cream!! Thanks girls for a good time!!

the BIG 30!

Dale, turned the big 30 this year. I kept bugging him about what he wanted for his birthday. He kept saying nothing, or things like World Peace or Happiness. What he really wanted was to get his braces off. I had talked to Dr. Skinner about that. All he wanted for his birthday was to get them off. Dr Skinnner didn't think there would be a problem and thought that we could make it happen. I tried to down play it like it wasn't going to happen. It was the day of the ortho visit and..... He got them off! He kept saying this is the best birthday gift ever.

Getting ready to take off the braces!!!

I was able to throw him a surprise party the night before his actual birthday. He had his birthday off on Friday, I let him know that we should go camping. We had not been this year and we were both game to go. I let him know that I would go up Thursday day and set up the tent and find a good spot. Little did he know that I was throwing him a little birthday bash! I called all his highschool buddies, Adam, friends from our old and new wards and have them meet up Black Smith Fork canyon. We would head up after Dale got off work. I had some great help putting it all together with our friends the Sutherlands. They came up with me to find a spot and they would be up there to run the show before we got up there. We had hot dogs and for birthday dessert we made apple cobbler. It was a surprise to him!!!! Thanks to all that came.

Nothing like a camp fire.

The Day of His birthday:

I got up and made him bed in breakfast. He loves waffles and eggs. If he could he would have this breakfast everyday.

For the day, I had rented a 4 wheeler and thought that we could go up to the top of Willard Peak. I had called and had one all ready to go, but the day before his birthday I thought to myself how the heck are we going to get it up there? We just sold our truck! So, I had to call the place and un-rent the 4 wheeler. I was so upset, my plan had fallen through. The worst part is that I had wrapped up a kid toy 4 wheeler with a note telling him what the day had planned and forgot to take it out. So, he found out about it. I could tell he was a little bummed. Oops! We ended up going boating. We called our friend Shelsie and Cody, and Dave & Michelle came out for a little while. We went to Hyrum Dam. It was the best water I've seen and the best part is that we were the only boat for a couple hours. That was a great gift for Dale.

That's my Babe! Enjoying himself.

He makes it look so easy.

This is Dale trying to get the wakeboard off. It seriously took him 5 minutes to get the board off. Who knew that turning the big 30 would kick in so fast. We couldn't stop laughing.

Still cannot get it off. Sorry babe but I had to take some snap shots. You will appericate them later.

My family came out a couple weeks later to give Dale their gifts.

I hope you had a wonderful day. You deserved a lot more than what I was able to do for you. I'm glad we got to celebrate your special day together. LOVe YoU!!!!

BYE-BYE Tacoma

We just got a bug to sell the Tacoma one day. We had tried to sell it the year before and there were no real serious people that wanted to buy it so, I was OK with trying to sell it. ( With the thought of knowing I'm ok if it doesn't sell) We put up on KSL and it was only 1 week later that a guy down in South Jordan wanted to buy it. I was heart broken. I know it is only a car but I loved it. We had it all paid for. Why..... Dale finally talked me into selling it and so we drove down and met him. He test drove it and then we went to the bank and he was ready to buy it. I was a little nervous because we really didn't have anything else in mind that we wanted to buy and it would be hard to function with one car because of our work schedules...... I guess it was meant to be because our schedules were very similar for a while and it ended up not being that bad. I still have my days where it would be nice to have it back, but we finally found another car to replace it. We just bought us a Toyota Camry '04. It is a very cute car. So, we are a two car family now.

Cache Rodeo

This is our second time going to the rodeo being married. Our little nephew Justin has signed up to do the mutton bust for the second year. It is the cutest thing to see these little 5-7 yrs old kids get on these sheep and watch them hold for dear life. We were able to talk my parents into coming and watching Justin. My little brothers were very excited, it was their very first time ever being to one.

Justin riding the sheep. Hold on tight buddie!!

Cowboy, Cowgirl up!! I think it is fun to get decked out.

The Ellis family.

Bull riding. My favorite event.

What is that smell?!?!?!?

As it started to get more hot outside, I started smelling something. At first, Dale was like you must have a strong nose. I don't smell anything. A couple days went by, and the smell was getting more intense. Dale was finally starting to smell it. It was a Saturday and I thought, I know that there is something in here. I pulled everything out of the garage, there is a little nook were we put the firewood. As I got closer the smell was coming from there...... What was I going to do? I'm the only one home and I called Dale in a panic. He told me, "I cannot come home. I'm at work... so I don't know what you want me to do." After I got off the phone with him I got some more courage to go and see if I could pull out another log. I did and there is was!!! This bushy creature in my garage not moving!!!! I don't think I've ever hopped in my car so fast and drove into Logan. I got to my parents and my dad was like I can't help you, I've got things to do. So I talked my little sister into coming with me. We drove back to Welsville. I called animal control and they said that i needed to call Welsville animal control. I did and the guy was like "Oh... I know exactly what it is. It's a rock chuck...." I'm thinking, that is great but get over here and get it out. I told the man I didn't think that's what it was, it looked too furry, but he was sure it was. By this point I was thinking, "Whatever, just get it out of my garage!!!!!!" He finally came and I was dry heaving and shaking because the smell is awful. My sister, Alyse, was trying to help me gain composure. He goes in and asks for a black plastic bag. He says "Looks like I was wrong.... It is a cat." WHAT?!?!?!? How the heck. He was like you might want to hose out the garage. There are maggots and other yummy bugs. I was like crap, am I going to have to call an exterminator. I asked the man if he would do it for me, I didn't think I would be able to stomach it and he did. What a good man! Least to say I bleached the garage floor and then bought wall floors to get the smell out. I will NEVER have a furry pet. Every time I see a cat I just cringe!!!

I was able to get my sister to get close enough to it to get a snap shot of it.

CAT!!!!!

Sunday fun at the Ellis'

I just want my family to know how much I love them. A lot of times I think I take for granted how much they do for me. I am so lucky to have great parents and wonderful siblings. I look forward to the Sundays. It's the day that we catch up and just have some good laughs. I think that is when we can get pretty silly. Thanks Family!!

My favorite is when we will just take the camera and do random things like this picture. Thanks Dale for being a good sport.

Sometimes we will take Sunday drives up Logan Canyon. We seem to always end up at Spring Hallow. It is a very nice little area. We will usually play a game of croquet. Dad is always the winner!!!!!!

I love my sisters.

I love my brothers. I don't think that our family would have been complete without these two fireballs.

I love my husband. Thanks for all your hard work. You are the best!!!

Boating

We only got out a couple times this summer on the boat. The Burnett's are really good about taking the grand kids for a couple days in the summer. They took out the boat and we joined them for a fun time.

There is something to be said about the nieces and the nephews we have. They really do make Dale and I very happy. We can only hope one day that we can have fun, giggly kids like them!

Dale modeling for the camera.

Sam and I smiling for the camera. We had a lot or fun going on the tube together.

Such a beautiful sunset.

We used the boat to take a couple friends out this summer as well. We have meet some really fun couples in our ward out in Wellsville. One night we thought we would get some of them together and go boating. I had a friend from West Jordan and her boy come up and come with us as well.

This is Adrine wake boarding.

I was the only brave girl that would get out in the water. I wish that I would have stayed in the boat it was very choppy and cold.

Dale showing us how to do it.

Melinda and me. I use to work with her at Dr skinner office together. I really do miss her:-( she and I were very much alike, there isn't anyone else like her. I'm glad that I've gotten to know YOU. THANKS GIRL!!

Melinda and Issac. They are very cute together!

THANK YOU FLOYD AND MIRIAM FOR LETTING US USE THE BOAT
