My cute niece Whitney

My cute niece Whitney was a little sad that she didn't have her girl cousin Samantha to hang out for Thanksgiving. So, I told her she could come spend the night and we could get up and do some early morning shopping, (she had never done it before and wanted to give it a try) and we could make a couple crafts. She was excited which made it even more exciting for me:-) I had a craft buddy!

We made these hair flower clips that turned out very cute.

We made cute scrapbook magnets.

She made a cute picture frame! Way to go Whitney
Thanks Whitney! I had a fun day and if you ever wanna make another craft you know were to find me.

So much to be Thankful for....

Happy belayed Turkey Day! I love this time of year. There is so much for us to be thankful for.

We are very blessed!! I love the turkey dinner, and the pies but most of all I love spending time with the ones that we love. We want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Here is a little of what our Thanksgiving day was like with the Burnett's this year....

Start the Thanksgiving morning off right... TUrkEy Bowl!! The boys went down to the soccer fields and played flag football.

The little ones having a Feast of there own with powder doughnuts and cupcakes.

After the Thanksgiving Feast we played a couple games.

Thanks Burnetts for always hosting a great Thanksgiving!!

What a GREAT husband

The other day I went down with Dale's mom, sisters and the sister-in-laws to the annual Craft Fair in Farr West. Of course we didn't just stop there we went to Tai Pan, and Target. I was able to get a little Christmas Shopping done and get a few more things for the house. We had a really good time. I'm so lucky to have such great family in laws... I really do appreciate all that they teach me and how fun they are to be around! We went to dinner at Tepanyaki, That was my first time going there. IT was AMAZING!!! It was like a little dinner show...watch the chief cook you food. The chief would cook shrimp and then he would toss one in your mouth. I'm not a fan of shrimp but I couldn't let the moment pass me by and I tried it and I caught one. WAHOO! It was a really good time. Thanks Girls!!!
Later that night we didn't get home 'til late. Dale usually goes and plays ball at 9 o'clock on Wednesday so, he wasn't there when I got home. When I walked in I noticed that something was different about the house.. It smelt really clean. I have a little OCD thing and I have to walk around the house making sure that everything is in its place before I do anything else and I noticed that.....

The Laundry was done. Clothes put away and hung up (not left in the basket.)

Our Bedroom was picked up. Bed made and all!

The Kitchen looked amazing. Floor was swept, dishes put away, garbage taken out, the stove was clean, and best of all he even did a little grocery shopping.

I thought I would just take a moment to share. I have an amazing husband he does so much for me. I'm so grateful for him and his hard work. I don't think that he knows how much this meant to me. ( I really needed it this week....I was in one of those BLAH moods) I love the time we get to spend together and wouldn't change it for anything. I know sometimes it is hard not seeing a whole lot of each other but I sure am glad that we can spend what time we do have with each other. Thanks for all you do BABE! I LOVE YOU.

UsU Football Game

We thought that we would support our Aggies this weekend. Dale has been wanting to go to a game really bad, but with work it has been tough to make it to one. Luckily, there was a later evening game and to make it even better is was against Boise State. I thought that I would surprise Dale with tickets to the game. It had been awhile since we had been to a game. (I think the last time we had been to one is when we were dating.) I couldn't believe how many Boise fans were there. I almost thought for a moment that we were at the wrong statium. IT made me think that we need to support our Aggies a little more!!! Maybe for basketball I don't think I can handle the cold, one night was enough for me.

The 1st-half was good. The Aggies were looking really good.....but the 2nd-half wasn't
the greatest. The Aggies ended up loosing 52-21.

We sat by Cody and Shels.

I was getting really cold. I dressed in layers but I guess not good enough. My hands were freezing.... Shelsie had brought a few hand warmers. ( I guess last weeks game was evern colder than tonights) She was extra prepared...Thanks goodness!!!

I was glad that we were able to go to a game. It was good to spending some good qauilty bonding time with Dale and to hang out with Shelsie and Cody.

Winter Already??

This morning there was a little surprise waiting for me. ( I knew it was coming but didn't know this soon.)

Snow Snow go away come back in 3 weeks from today!

I don't want the snow to be here quite yet, I don't think I'm ready for the cold. We didn't even get our Christmas lights up yet! I guess we will be doing it in the cold....but that does mean one thing. It means that I can sit inside all day find myself a blanket, a good book with some hot chocolate and snuggle up to the fire.

I'm so glad we have this on wintery snowy day's like today.

So, with the snow being here I decided that I would start getting my Christmas stuff out....(don't freak out family it's out, just not set up all the way:-) I had a couple project that I needed to finish from the past years.

I finally finished the stockings after 2 years.

I'm still trying to work on the table runner that I started last year. Stay tune! I think for Christmas I might ask Dale to give me some sewing 101 classes, I do not understand the sewing lingo and I think my neighbor and my mom might like that too then I don't have to bother them as much!

I also found these letters and I thought that I could spell a cute Christmas word and cover them with Christmas scrapbook paper and use them for something. I think that I'll try and use them on my Christmas card.

And the big project this weekend was trying to get this blanket done and out of the way. The back didn't line up like it should have and it was frustrating me. My mom came out to help me, one last time before I gave up. I was having a lot of issues getting it up onto frames. Grrr..NOTE TO SELF: I think that when I try to quilt something for the first time I need to start out with something a little more small, maybe something not so overwhelming. Will someone please remind me of that when I do my next quilt?!?... if I ever do a next quilt.

My mom was able to stay out at my house and help me get started. While quilting my mom looked down and noticed that we didn't fix the problem... the problem that I was having trying to do it by myself.. There was no way that I was unpicking what we had done! My mom kept telling me "that she would make it work" or "It will be ok!...I'll fix it I promise." I just started laughing. What are the chances that we didn't fix the issue, hopefully it isn't a problem and when we bind it you won't even be able to tell. Thanks mom for your help!

The finishing of the quilting part. I think that I will give my finger tips a rest for a couple day and then get back to it soon.

I love being an Aunt

Dave and Michelle went out the other night and celebrated there anniversary. We got to have a sleep over with their kids. We had a lot of fun. I was getting their beds put together for the night and we have a futon mat that they wanted to sleep on. I was getting it all set up and they started jumping off the couch onto it. Dale and I couldn't stop laughing they would do tricks and I think it was their faces and there cute giggle that made me laugh the hardest. Kids have such a contagious laugh. Justin wanted to see what I was seeing and why we were laughing so hard. The only thing I could think of is to take a picture and he could see what we were seeing.... So, I thought I would just post some pictures of our sleep over and make them a blog entry.

They first started out holding hands and would jump.

Justin got pretty good with his facial expressions and his moves.

Madison's Hair would stand straight up.. Like a little troll.

William would hold his breath when he would jump and then look up after landing and would start laughing.

They play so good together and are such good kids. Thanks for letting us watch them once and while.

WE Have gRass!!!

We Finally did it!! We have SOD. We had it delivered on Wednesday of this week. I am happy to say we can close that chapter to the yard SAga! Until next year... It is so good to look outside and see green not brown. Thank you so much to everyone who came and helped!!

The sod before it was layed

We have great family and neighborhood friends who came to help us. Day light runs out fast since the time change. We were a little concerned about getting it down before it was dark. I was unable to help ( because of work) Dale said that it was awesome they were laying the sod and neighbor after neighbor came over to help. We really do have an awesome group of people that we live by and our family is fabulous as well. Thanks to the little ones who helped as well. We are so grateful!

I was unable to get the full effect when I came home. It was very dark and a flash light and the outside lights didn't do it justice. I couldn't sleep that night because I was so excited to get up and see it in the day light. When I looked outside I was amazed how much grass adds to a yard. Tears filled my eyes. All our hard work as finally paid off!

Thanks to Michelle and Lexie for taking some pictures!

ELLis HallOweEn ParTy

This year the Ellis' did a family Halloween party as well. My sister Katie got things together and we did it at my parents house. It was a blast!!! We got really creative with the dinner. Katie had a spooky name for all the food that was served. I don't think that we lacked in being creative. It is sad to think how much time we spent on making each food for the meal to be Halloween-ish.... Oh well, it was fun!! Here is what our Halloween meal looked like :)

What a Halloween Meal!!

7 layer dip as a Witch

Vampire Blood and cheesy Soup!

Are those flies on the mummy fingers?

I just need to take a minute.... LOok how cool these ice cream Frankenstein turned out. I found the idea online. They were a lot of fun to make.

Each place setting had it's own tume stone with our name on it.

We must not forget the costumes:

THe Ellis cRew

Hot Shot Dale and DJ Danny

We had a little malfunction with Dales costume so, he went as a basketball player instead. We forgot the sweat bands so my cute sister Alyse made him some out of a wash cloth. Thanks Bug without it the costume wouldn't be complete.

The giRls.

ScArY!!

I would just like to thank My parents for making every Holiday the best. My mom has been really good about going all out for any Holiday out there. THanks Dad for supporting and adding your own little touches now and again!

BuRnett HalloWeen Party

There was some question if we were going to have the annual Burnett Halloween Party this year due to the sickness that was going around. The Smith family had been sick a couple weeks before and they were the ones that were hosting it. They were able to get better in time and the party was on. A couple days before the party Michelle and the kids got sick so, they were unable to make it. We hope they get feeling better soon!!

We had a lot of fun, We had dinner and played a couple games. Here is some pictures of what each Family looked like :

Smith Family
Dana and Dillion
Darren, Ivalou, Ammston & Ella
The Jail Birds

Dale and Cames

( Our cute nieces joined the picture)

Here is one of the games that we played that I thought turned out to be fun. Dixie gave each family two body parts to a skeleton. We got the pelvis bone and the arm. We needed to try and be creative but needed to keep the body part on paper... I was talking with the girls from work and they helped with come up with something for the pelvis that was creative. (This will take you back to your elementary days.) Remember, when you would do the art project with the tissue paper, pencil and dip it in glue and stick it to the paper...Well, that is what we came up with for the pelvis bone. And this is what it turn out like......

We got a good laugh out of Mr. Skeleton

Darren added a little Burnett trait to the pinkie.

Thanks Smith Family for putting on another great Burnett Halloween party!!!
